Prices #

Following are our rates for shared hosting, virtual servers, email, domain name and time based services.

Shared Hosting #

We provide two main shared web hosting account packages, the Website package and the Multi-website package, these both come with email hosting and a .uk domain name and we can also provide add on Website expansion packs for these services (for example if additional domain names or email quota space is needed):

Website #

Our website hosting package costs £180 (inc. VAT) per year and comes with:

• 1 Apache VirtualHost.
• 10 GiB website hosting disk space.
• 10 PHP-FPM processes.
• 1 MariaDB database.
• An optional install one of the following open source content management systems, WordPress, MediaWiki or Nextcloud (other options available on request).
• A Let's Encrypt HTTPS certificate configured for up to 100 domain names.

• SFTP / SSH access to the filesystem and database.
• Web based phpMyAdmin access to the database.
• Matomo webstats.
• A .uk domain name, other extensions are available see the domain name prices).
• 5 GiB email hosting space with up to 5 mailboxes and 10 aliases (additional space, mailboxes and aliases are available see email services prices.
• Support and assistance migrating an existing site to our servers.

Multi-website #

Our multi-website hosting package costs £420 (inc. VAT) per year and comes with:

• 5 Apache VirtualHosts.
• 30 GiB website hosting disk space.
• 30 PHP-FPM processes.
• 5 MariaDB databases.
• An optional install of up to five content management systems installed, choose from the following, WordPress, MediaWiki, Nextcloud (other options available on request).
• A Let's Encrypt HTTPS certificate configured for up to 100 domain names.

• SFTP / SSH access to the filesystem and database.
• Web based phpMyAdmin access to the database.
• Matomo webstats for each site.
• A .uk domain name (other extensions are available see the domain name prices).
• 10 GiB email hosting space with up to 10 mailboxes and 20 aliases (additional space, mailboxes and aliases are available see email services prices.

Website Expansion #

For website that require additional Apache VirtualHosts we can provide these, together with 5 GiB of disk space and an additional MariaDB database for £90 (inc. VAT) per year each.

Virtual Servers #

We provide one main managed virtual server package and also a large server package with double the resouces, a micro server package with half the resources and also server expansion packs, all the server packages also come with email hosting and a .uk domain name. The following servers prices may be discounted by £240 (inc. VAT) per year if they are managed by others.

Standard Server #

Our standard virtual server is a a managed Debian virtual server with 6 GiB RAM, 100 GiB disk space and 2 CPU cores, costs £1,500 (inc. VAT) per year running a choice of:

• Multiple content management system installs, choose from the following (other options are available): WordPress, MediaWiki, Nextcloud, Rocket.Chat, Matomo and phpMyAdmin.
• Discourse, discussion forum.
• Mailcow, email server.
• GitLab, git server.
• Mailman, mailing list server.
• Zammad, ticketing system.

Email, 20 GiB hosting space with up to 20 mailboxes and 40 aliases additional space, mailboxes and aliases are available see email services prices.

Support and assistance migrating existing site and services.

Micro Server #

Our micro virtual server is the same as a server package but with 3 GiB of RAM, 50 GiB disk space and 1 CPU core and it costs £750 (inc. VAT) per year. Note that a micro server is not suitable for running Mailcow or GitLab due to the resources requirements of these projects, it is suitable for Discourse and hosting many PHP based CMS applications such as WordPress.

Large Server #

Our large virtual server is the same as a server package but with 12 GiB of RAM, 200 GiB disk space and 4 CPU cores and it costs £3,000 (inc. VAT) per year.

XL Server #

Our extra large virtual server is the same as a server package but with 24 GiB of RAM, 400 GiB disk space and 8 CPU cores and it costs £6,000 (inc. VAT) per year.

XXL Server #

Our extra extra large virtual server is the same as a server package but with 48 GiB of RAM, 800 GiB disk space and 16 CPU cores and it costs £12,000 (inc. VAT) per year.

XXXL Server #

Our extra extra extra large virtual server is the same as a server package but with 96 GiB of RAM, 1.6 TiB disk space and 32 CPU cores and it costs £24,000 (inc. VAT) per year.

Server expansion packs #

For servers that require additional resources RAM and CPU cores can be provided at the following prices:

• RAM, an additional 1 GiB, £120 per year (inc VAT).
• CPU cores, an additional 1 CPU core £240 per year (inc VAT).

From 17th January 2024 additional disk space can be provided to servers at the following rates:

• Disk space units of 10 GiB £20 per year (inc. VAT).
• Disk space units of 100 GiB £150 per year (inc. VAT).
• Disk space units of 1 TiB £1,250 per year (inc. VAT).
• Disk space units of 10 TiB £8,475 per year (inc. VAT).

Email Services#

Our main email service is hosting domains and mailboxes on our shared Mailcow server at webarch.email, we can also provide email lists, managed email list server and managed Mailcow servers.

Email #

Our website and virtual server packages come with email hosting, if additional space or mailboxes are needed this can be provided in additional units of 10 GiB of space, 10 mailboxes and 20 aliases for £60 (inc VAT) per year.

Email lists #

Domain Names #

UK Domain Names #

We are members of Nominet and through them we can provide .uk, .co.uk, .org.uk and .me.uk domain names (and some others like .ltd.uk, see the Nominet site for details) on behalf of clients.

We charge £9.00 (inc. VAT) per year for .uk, .co.uk, .org.uk and .me.uk domain names.

We are also members of Jisc and can provide .ac.uk domains for clients through them, for .ac.uk domain we charge the cost to us, plus £5, plus VAT, please contact us for a quote.

Non-UK Domain Names #

For non-UK domains we use our reseller account at Gandi and we charge clients based on their C rates, plus £5, plus VAT.

For our shared hosting and virtual servers packages, that come with a .uk domain name, we can provide a non-UK domain name as an alternative and we deduct the cost of the UK domain name from the cost of the non-UK domain name.
